North Orange County Gem & Mineral Society
The North Orange County Gem & Mineral Society (NOC) is dedicated to the advancement of the earth sciences by stimulating interest and encouraging the study of the geological and mineral science and lapidary arts.
NOC is a member of the California Federation of Mineralogical Societies (CFMS), and the AFMS American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS). We received the AFMS All American Club award from 1985 through 1992.
Club Activites Include:
Jubilee of Gems Show at the La Habra Community Center
Classes & Workshops - beading, cabbing, carving, faceting, geology, lapidary, and silversmiting - (demonstrations, and hands on).
Presentation of earth science programs to schools.
Field Trips - Monthly geological or rockhounding trips to various location.
Visitors are always welcome at our MEETINGS -- come by and join us.

A 24 in. necklace with 12 mm turquoise beads and large, 36 mm round turquoise cabochon. For class, $35 for paid members and $40 for non-members.
An 8 in. necklace with 8 mm turquoise beads with a 22 X 30 mm turquoise cabochon. For class, $25 for paid members and $30 for non-members.
