NOC Field Trips
The Field Trip page is for all NOC members and guests who abide by the AFMS Code of Ethics. When you see a field trip that you would like to attend, make plans to join us.
Contact the NOC Field Trip Leader for details and notify him that you will attend. Never just show up.
NOC Field Trip Schedule for 2008
This Saturday, July 12, there is a day trip planned to the Wrightwood area for actinolite,
solid white quartz, rhodenite, and other metamorphics.
We will meet at 9:30 in the east parking lot of Jensens Market (1300 block of SH #2, on north
side of SH #2), in Wrightwood.
If the weather is hot we will head to the high country of Blue Ridge. Basically we will collect
in Heath Creek, and Lone Pine Valley.
Wear sturdy shoes or boots for the creek bed and remember your sun screen, snake bite kit, hat etc.
Plan on having your adventure pass or equivalent handy. I believe they can be purchased at Jensens.

Insurance: The Federation's insurance policy automatically provides liability insurance coverage for Federation member clubs at announced, sponsored club field trips. You may be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance or Additional Insured Endorsement to property owners; if so, please go to the Federation's web site (www.cfmsinc.org) under Insurance Forms for a copy of the request form.
You will provide: Contact person (Name, address, phone No., cell phone No., and e-mail address). Upon arriving at the campsite, sign a Consent and Assumption of Risk Waiver of Liability form.
